About this show

Homage to Yves Mathieu’s Cabaret Lapin Agile plays PianoForte Chicago, a 100-capacity small room in South Loop, on Monday, November 9. The show starts at 7 PM. Tickets are $40 plus fees.

Part I – Solo piano by Jean Claude Orfali Part II – A potpourri of Paris in songs Jean-Claude Orfali is a favorite of PianoForte Chicago’s owner Thomas Zoells for good reason. His ability to create infinite variations of musical themes, the delightful technique of embellishment and emotion, have captured his audiences from Paris to Montréal, Cairo to Chicago. A longtime principal pianist at the Lapin Agile, he will begin our evening of homage to Yves Mathieu, the late owner of the Cabaret Lapin Agile. The Lapin Agile is the oldest extant cabaret room in Paris, the birthplace of cabaret as a gathering place for musicians and artists.
