14th Annual MobettaHoliday JamOur Favorite Holiday TraditionYear in and year out,Maurice Mobetta Brown’s Christmas gift to Chicago plays out on our stage, and never fails to be THE show of the year. Each year we anxiously wait to hear which musical giants Maurice will get to grace our stage, like little kids waiting to open their stockings. Maurice s own musical star has done nothing but sky rocket since we first encountered him all the way back as a budding high school superstar. Originally from Harvey, Illinois, Maurice’s ticket to musical dominance was punched early on,when he won the prestigious Wynton Marsalis prize. He went on from there to attend Chicago’s own Columbia College.
