About this show

The Bad Plus Farewell Tour plays Bluebird Theater, a 550-capacity club in Congress Park, on Tuesday, December 1. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM.

This is the farewell tour of The Bad Plus — the last chance to see them live. For over two decades, The Bad Plus have been one of the most influential and distinctive formations in modern jazz. The American band came to international attention in the early 2000s and quickly built a reputation for opening jazz to new audiences with complete musical conviction — uncompromising, stylistically open, and full of enormous energy. The group became famous for their radical reinterpretations of rock and pop songs as well as for their original compositions.
