About this show
Monday, December 21st at 7PM Monday, December 21st 9:30PM A legendary voice in jazz returns to the forefront—this time with new wings. For more than fifty years, David Murray has shaped the sound of modern jazz: bold, inventive, rooted in tradition while constantly pushing boundaries. He is opening a new chapter with his current quartet featuring vocalist/lyricist Francesca Cinelli, with Marta Sanchez (piano), Luke Stewart (double bass), and Russell Carter (drums). A concentration of virtuosity and creativity! His album Francesca (Intakt Records, 2024) confirmed that Murray is the new tenor of the time.
