About this show

Asaf Avidan - Into the Great Abyss Solo Tour plays Webster Hall, a 1,500-capacity large club in East Village, on Wednesday, February 17. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM.

International singer-songwriter Asaf Avidan blends introspective poetry with a singular, gravelly voice, creating a sound that moves freely between Folk, Jazz, Rock, Pop and Blues. Born in Jerusalem, raised in Jamaica, and later based in Italy and France, Avidan grew up across cultures and borders. Before turning 24, he studied cinema, became a voice actor, graduated from art academy, survived cancer, and worked as a professional animator. At 26, following a difficult breakup, he left his job and picked up a guitar for the first time, beginning a career spanning nearly two decades.
