About this show

New Jersey Symphony plays New Jersey Performing Arts Center, a 2,800-capacity theater in Downtown Newark, on Saturday, May 15. The show starts at 2 PM.

Xian Zhang conductor New Jersey Symphony Tchaikovsky was a great musical storyteller. Learn about the structure of his Fourth Symphony and what to listen for, from string plucking to folk songs, and a wide range of emotions expressed by different instruments. Inspired by Leonard Bernstein’s masterful way of putting young audiences at the center of music-making, this interactive concert is presented in a relaxed format and features inside tips, listening cues, and fun facts that make for the perfect Saturday afternoon family outing! Tickets for this event go on sale April 10. You can add this concert to a subscription now at njsymphony.org/subscribe
