About this show

How do you celebrate the birthday of Adolphe Sax? With plenty of saxophones, of course! Join the PSU Saxophone Studio for a spirited evening honoring the saxophone’s inventor. Featuring a saxophone octet, two quartets and student soloists, this celebration explores a variety of musical styles—from the lyrical to the lively—with plenty of saxophone personality. Bring your friends, bring your family and help us celebrate the man who started it all! Learn more about Portland State University's bands.
