Panchiko plays Showbox SoDo, a 1,800-capacity large club in SoDo, on Saturday, May 8. Also on the bill: Korea Girl. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM. All ages. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 6 at 10 AM. This one could sell out: big draw for a room this size (1.4M listeners, 1,800 capacity). Panchiko also has 1 other date on Go See Shows, in Inglewood.
Panchiko’s story began in Nottingham in the late ’90s, when four teenage friends combined Britpop influences with home recording, video games, and anime to create their debut album, D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L. After gaining a little momentum, the band eventually faded into obscurity—until a fan discovered a copy of the album in a local charity shop 16 years later, setting off an online search that ultimately tracked down the group and sparked their reunion. Since then, Panchiko have toured the world and released Failed at Math(s) (2023) and Ginkgo (2025), evolving from a long-lost cult discovery into a full-time band.

Panchiko are an English alternative rock band formed in Nottingham, England in 1997, originally consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Owain Davies, guitarist and keyboardist Andrew "Andy" Wright, bassist Shaun Ferreday, and a drummer named John.
Korea Girl was an American indie rock band from San Jose, California. The band's members included Elizabeth Yi (voice and guitar), Tobin Mori (guitars, voice, and keyboard), Summer (electric bass guitar) and Marc Duarte (drum set).
