John Scofield's “Electrospective” plays Boulder Theater, an 870-capacity club in Downtown Boulder, on Sunday, November 8. Also on the bill: Oteil Burbridge, Adam Deitch and Larry Goldings. The show starts at 8 PM. It's sold out. John Scofield's “Electrospective” also has 1 other date on Go See Shows, in New York.
Through his 54-year career, 3-time Grammy Award winner John Scofield has occasionally detoured from the traditions of straight-ahead jazz, exploring a blend of funk and jazz that has led to some of his most popular projects. In late autumn of 2026, Scofield looks back at many of his now classic fusion groove compositions with Electrospective. Not intending to replicate the earlier fan favorites, he plans instead to revisit them with the seasoned perspective of several decades; culling tunes from his Blue Matter, Uberjam, and AGoGo bands – each responsible for a few recordings – as well as new material in the same vein.

Oteil Burbridge (born 24 August 1964 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA) is a bass guitarist. He was the founding member of the band the Aquarium Rescue Unit, and has worked with Bruce Hampton, Trey Anastasio, God Street Wine, The Allman Brothers Band,…
Adam Deitch is a respected session drummer who has toured and recorded with The John Scofield Band, Pretty Lights and members of Soulive.
Larry Goldings (born August 28, 1968, Boston, Massachusetts) is an American jazz pianist, organist, and composer. His father was a classical music enthusiast, and Larry studied classical piano until the age of twelve.
