with BIPOC Adoptees: National Adoptee Awareness Month
COE Dean's Series plays Lincoln Performance Hall (PSU), a 475-capacity theater in Portland State University, on Wednesday, November 4. Also on the bill: BIPOC Adoptees: National Adoptee Awareness Month. The show starts at 4:30 PM. It's free.
In recognition of National Adoptee Awareness Month, the PSU College of Education is partnering with VOICES, a BIPOC Adoptee Community—for a special Dean’s Series event centering the lived experiences, expertise, and identities of racially marginalized adoptees. The session will explore adoption, foster care, belonging, and actionable strategies for educators and professionals to better support adopted individuals and families. Brief presentations will be followed by a moderated panel with three diverse BIPOC adoptee speakers. The event is free and open to students, faculty, educators, and members of the broader community. Wednesday, Nov.
